Discussion Expectations

You are required to actively participate in Canvas Discussions on a weekly basis. You must make your initial discussion post by Wednesday (unless otherwise noted in directions) and respond to the postings of at least two classmates by the due date.  Please bear in mind that you are expected to post meaningfully to the discussion board.  If you log into Canvas and post all responses on the same day, you will be credited for only one post.  This is to help the class have an active, ongoing discussion. Please try and avoid responses such as “I agree” or “I was thinking the same thing” as they add little to the discussion. For more information, please read the assignment description and the grading rubric.

To access a discussion's grading rubric, click on the "Dot Dot Dot" (for screen readers, titled "Manage this Discussion") button in the upper right corner of the discussion, and then click "show rubric".

The Digital Citizenship Expectations promote an engaged learning community and set the standards for online interactions in the college courses. Students must abide by the Digital Citizenship Expectations in all aspects of their coursework and communications.
